At CROWN PIZZA & RIBS in RESERVOIR, our wheat, gluten, yeast & dairy free pizza bases are made by us, on the premises, using our own special recipe (a soy & rice flour blend) and are available every day. The word around town is that they are hard to beat in terms of freshness, delicious taste and value - we look forward to seeing you!
To order a gluten free pizza you must ask for a gluten free pizza base. Then simply refer to the Pizza menu for the Standard and Gourmet Pizza range to top your pizza. Alternatively, you can choose your own pizza topping selection to suit your particular dietary needs or taste buds.
Please note the following toppings contain traces of gluten and should be avoided if you are coeliac or particularly sensitive - standard pizza ham, salami and BBQ sauce. We have certified gluten free leg ham available on request as an alternative to the standard pizza ham and we also have non-dairy (soy) cheese for the dairy intolerant (extra charges apply).
Gluten free pizzas are available in a MEDIUM size only and are charged at the cost of the Standard or Gourmet pizza you select plus $4.50.

- Management of Gluten Free Catering-
At Crown Pizza & Ribs Reservoir we are very meticulous about catering for people with coeliac disease/food intolerances and avoiding cross contamination. We are successful at it as we have careful food preparation and identification processes and staff training regimes that are strictly adhered to and continuously being improved for your health and convenience. Being business members of the Coeliac society of Victoria, we have comprehensive information at hand to assist us in all aspects of gluten free catering. Here are some specific examples of how we prepare our gluten free meals :-
Gluten free pizza bases are prepared in a totally separate designated area and using separate bowls, separate pizza pans and utensils.
Gluten free pizzas are carefully topped with clean hands, cooked and then presented in a tray with a flag on top for eat in customers, or in a clearly marked Gluten free pizza box for take away customers for easy identification.
Gluten free pastas are pre-prepared in a separate designated area using separate trays and utensils and uncontaminated boiling water. Once prepared, pastas are then stored in clearly labeled and sealed containers. Pastas for dine in are presented with a flag on top for easy identification and in clearly labeled containers for take away.
Gluten free desserts are made in a gluten free environment.
Kitchen staff and waiters/waitresses are trained to understand the importance of a gluten free diet and how to avoid cross contamination. Waiters/Waitresses are accustomed to dealing with customers with various food intolerances and they are trained to assist you with your food selection for your ultimate dining experience.
